About
I'm Fiona Tankard, a British writer, ghostwriter, copywriter, editor and translator who has lived in Italy, first Umbria then Tuscany, for 30 years.I have always worked with language and communication, first as an English language teacher trainer, then as an academic writer, then as creator and editor of ITALY magazine, the UK's first glossy magazine about Italy.After that I became a ghostwriter of both fiction and non fiction for clients from all over the world. I have written about subjects as diverse as Atlantis and finance, housebuying in Tuscany and the true location of Troy. While I was doing that I was also writing my own stuff, mainly on Medium.I have worked in marketing, copywriting for prestigious brands, biography-writing, editing articles and books, video script writing, and I've also worked as a translator and transcreator from Italian to English.I have now decided to focus on what I love best - writing about the wild and the wondrous - unusual topics and unconventional people who have an interesting story to tell. Some of the books I've written and edited
I've written, ghostwritten and edited non-fiction and fiction books on a variety of subjects for clients all over the world. Some ghostwriting projects require NDAs and so I can't disclose the titles but they include an Amazon bestseller on finance, a book for a US medical doctor, and a business and marketing book for a University professor in Belgium.
